Introduction
Wallenberg's story seems unbelievable when you first hear it, a Swedish diplomat that devoted his life to others and saved thousands of Jews during World War Two. He was born in 1912, he studied architecture in Michigan University and after graduating in 1935 he got involved with the genocide in Germany, and acted against the treatments of racial and religious discrimination led by Adolf Hitler around 1933-1945.
Europe had been in a delicate situation, they had suffered World War One and were struggling and now they were facing what they didn't know was going to become World War Two. Raoul Wallenberg graduated just a few years after Hitler had become chancellor of Germany and has started violating the treaty of Versailles preparing a new war. Wallenberg arrived to Budapest to the Swedish embassy in 1944 and that is when he started his amazing work giving Jews fake passports to identify them as Swedish citizens and free them from a terrible destiny. The question at hand is what enabled Wallenberg to be a leader in Nazi resistance during World War Two?
